Government has allocated Rs 59.63 million for the uplift of 8 Katchi Abadies in Tehsil Chak Jhumra under Punjab Katchi Abadi Development Programme. This was disclosed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of DCO Saeed Wahlah. The meeting was informed that the fund of Rs .13 million was being spent on the construction of roads in Mohallah Rasulpura.

The fund of Rs 19.35 million had been allocated for the provision of electricity and sui gas at Zafar Colony. Around Rs 8.43 million was being spent on the construction of road at Railway Line colony while Rs 3.95 million was being spent on the construction of road at Mohalla Masudabad.

The fund of Rs 2.4 million was allocated for Mohallah Ghareebabad, Rs 4.88 million for Mohallah Gaddakhana for the construction of roads and sewerage system. The DCO directed the agencies to complete these uplift projects by March 15, 2010. He urged that proper supervision and monitoring should be ensured for quality construction of the projects. Iqbal Hussain, Planning Mahr Ramzan, Chak Jhmura Mian Aftab and others officers were also present on the occasion.
